Abdullah Al Enazi

Electrical & Instrumentation Manager, Ma'aden Bauxite and Alumina Company (MBAC)

Abdullah Eid Al-Enazi is Electrical and Instrumentation Manager at Ma’aden Alumina Refinery. He holds a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from KFUPM 1998. Abdullah has 20 years’ experience in Control systems and instrumentation. He was also involved in the commissioning and startup of first Alumina Refinery in Saudi Arabia. He has participated in many control systems projects for Aramco Northern Area Producing Department. He was noted for his presentation in innovation idea to use hybrid wind-solar power systems for offshore platforms. Abdullah has also received recognitions from Saudi Aramco and Ma’aden for accomplished achievements.

Ali Ahmed Al-Qarah

Manager, QA Analyzer - QAD-Analyzer Section, Saudi European Petrochemical Company (IBN ZAHR)

Ali has 25 years of experience in the petrochemical process analyzer field, where he worked in technical and managerial levels of petrochemical plants in IBN ZAHR, SABIC Saudi Arabia. He led his analyzer team for many projects, turnarounds and shutdowns including the design, de-commissioning, commissioning and startup to the success. Worked with multi-cultural work environment during the previous years. Currently working on SABIC, IBN ZAHR as Analyzer manager covering all the corrective and preventive maintenance for analyzer equipment in the complex. Provide the required support to all analyzer committees in Jubail & Yanbu. Working closely with SABIC ATC to support SABIC affiliates needs, He held lead positions on analyzer/instrumentation domains and actively participated & lead teams to create SABIC analyzer manufacturing & engineering standards.

Bander Al Yousef

General Supervisor Process & Control Systems Department, Saudi Aramco Oil Co (Aramco)

Bander Al-Yousef has been heading the Process Automation Division responsible to provide the required consultations Company wide for various automation and control applications and emergency shutdown systems including Instrumentations and custody measurement. Bandar has been leading many digital transformation initiatives under Smart Plant track Company wide introducing many Smart Sensors, Wireless and edge intelligent applications. Bandar has been championing the adaptation of Digital Twin and BIM for Company future projects and facilitating various MOU's with EPC Contractors and system providers under these tracks. Bandar has an extended project design and construction execution experience and participated in leading the commissioning and start up of two major facilities, Shaybah NGL and Hawiyah Gas Plant. Bandar holds a Master degree in Advance Control and Systems from the University of Manchester and Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.

Erol Beller

Specialty Engineering Instrument Lead, Sadara Chemical Company

Erol Beller is Instrumentation Principal Engineer at Engineering Department of Sadara Chemical Company for last 5 years. He is leading his team for field instrumentation design and advance trouble shooting. Earlier he worked 25 years in Instrumentation Department of BASF Chemical company focusing various areas including Process Safety, Process Automation etc. Erol has valuable chemical industry experience including SIS design, Automation Security, several Commissioning & Start-up of chemical facilities, modernization of instrumentation systems from old pneumatic systems to electronic and from electronic to DCS including batch systems. Erol Beller used play basketball and likes to play Snooker.

Fahd Banakhr

Yanbu Research Director at Colleges and Institutes Sector, Royal Commission for Yanbu Colleges & Institutes

Dr. Fahd A Banakhr is the Director of Yanbu Research Center in Royal commission of Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His first degree in Electronic and Industrial Control Engineering from the University of Nottingham U.K. His Master degree in Electronic Instrumentation Systems from the University of Manchester U.K. finally His Ph.D. from Loughborough University U.K. in Sensors and Instrumentation Engineering. Dr. Fahd is a member of ISA and a member of IEEE (IEEE Instrumentation and Measurements Society, IEEE Control Systems (Intelligent Control Systems Technical Committee) also he is a member of Institute of Measurements and Control in U.K. Dr. Fahd Banakhr is the chairman of IEEE IoT and Harmonization Middle East Sub Group and he is the Vic Chairman of the IEEEE Smart Transducers for IoT Working Group. He is a visitor lecturer in Smart and Intelligent Instrumentation at the University of Nottingham Trent in U.K. His Research Interests are in Intelligent and Smart sensors, Intelligent Control Systems, Internet of things and Artificial Intelligence. He was Awarded the High Voltage Association Student Excellence Award from IEEE International Power Modulator and High Voltage Conference in 2012, also he was awarded Sir Martin Award for Academic and non-academic achievement from Loughborough University in 2011.

Faisal Aldhafeeri is the Public Relations Director of Royal Commission for Jubail as well as the President of the International Public Relations Association, Gulf Chapter (IPRA-GC).

Hadi AlShammari

IT, Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP)

Hadi is now the Superintendent Process Control in SATORP JV Saudi Aramco and Total located at Jubail industrial area in Saudi Arabia). Hadi has more than 26 years of experience, started in Operation for almost 4 years and moves to Control System & Automation. He worked more than 20 years in SABIC. He starts with SATORP since 2011. He joins the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of Process Control Systems at SATORP along with all process Units Start-up, Stabilization and Steady-State Operation. He is holding a master degree in Business Administration with major of Project management. He presently oversees to the smooth operations of different technologies deployed in SATORP Refinery which are gears towards efficient operations of all Units. He is a member in number of committees’ setup for the evaluation of different applications related to process Optimization in SATORP & at Saudi.

Hamdi Aljadani

Hamdi Al-Jadani: CIO, Gas Integrated Company As The technology leader in GIC, his focus is to provide efficient technological investment across the organization covering the increasing demand and dependency on technology, building a state of art information technology platform. This includes translating the board of directors’ requirement into a mixture of different solutions that are integrated and securely working together for delivering business needs. With his 20 Years of experience in information technology, Hamdi bring with him a rich ,wide exposure to different type of businesses that sharpen his skills and made him a valuable asset for any organization.

Khalid Al Ghamdi

Head of Digital Strategy and Growth, Saudi Aramco Oil Co (Aramco)

Khalid S. Al-Ghamdi is the Head of Digital Strategy and Growth at Saudi Aramco. He is responsible to oversee the execution of the company Digital Transformation Strategy and drive new growth opportunities. Prior to this position, Khalid held several leadership positions in the company including; the Head of Advanced Process Solutions as well as head of Process Automation Systems at Saudi Aramco Corporate Engineering responsible for Saudi Aramco’s Process Automation, Instrumentation, Plant Networks and Security , Advanced Process Control, Decision Support Systems, as well as Process Modeling, Optimization and Custody Measurement. He oversees the required Operations Support, Capital Program Support, Technology Deployment and Engineering Standards Development across Saudi Aramco. Khalid led the establishment of the 4th Industrial Revolution, a state of the art technology center to deploy and showcase Saudi Aramco’s efforts in this space. Khalid holds a bachelor degree in Systems Engineering from KFUPM, Saudi Arabia and Masters of Information Systems (MIS) from University of Phoenix, USA. He has attended several leadership development programs including Harvard Business School Leadership Program.

Majed Al-Baqawi

Majed Al-Baqawi is Superintendent Process Control Engineer for Saudi Chevron Phillips’ (S-CHEM) Process Control Department. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from University Of Toledo – Ohio USA . Majed has 20 years of experience in the fields of Petrochemical Industry and Process Automation, Functional Safety Requirements and Control Systems ( DCS, PLC, BN3500, CCC and Woodward ). He is also highly skilled in the processes of troubleshooting and investigation as well as having seasoned experience in Instrumentation Measurement Devices Sizing and Selection. He has worked extensively with Control System Life Cycle Management and Upgradation . Furthermore, Majed has experience of the International electrotechnical commission Standards IEC-61508/61511 and ISA 84. He also has great experience of PHA/LOPA Study and Review. He is a member of ISA ID # 000033247728; Saudi Council Of Engineer ID # 17569; and Functional Safety Practitioner (FSP) -Exida ID # 171213005

Meshal Almashari

PMO - the Saudi Aramco Digital transformation program, Saudi Aramco Oil Co (Aramco)

Meshal Almashari is the PMO (Program Management Office lead) of the Saudi Aramco Digital transformation program, he is in charge of overseeing the execution of the program and Saudi Aramco’s journey into the 4th industrial revolution. Almashari held many Information Technology leadership roles in many domains including Communications Operations, Service Management, Information Protection, Corporate Applications and IT Strategy. Almashari also played crucial roles in Saudi Aramco’s Governmental projects such as building the National Cyber Security Center. He also led the international communications unit in Saudi Aramco’s office in Houston (Aramco Services Company) where he was in charge of Aramco’s global telecommunications network in addition to scouting and prototyping technologies that assist in Saudi Aramco’s operations. Almashari holds a bachelors and master’s degree in computer science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Muaiyed Al Otaibi

Specialty Engineering CT & TG Lead, Sadara Chemical Company

Muaiyed Alotaibi is the Group leader of Custody Transfer & Tank Gauging in Specialty Engineering Department of Sadara Chemical company a JV between Saudi Aramco and DOW chemical. He holds a M.sc Degree in Engineering Management (2019) and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (2013) from KFUPM. He was part of Sadara team whom participated in successfully commission ,startup and passing lender reliability test.

Yasser Zaki

Head of External Communications - Corporate Communications Department, Sadara Chemical Company

Yasser is the Events & Sponsorship Manager at Sadara Chemical Company of Saudi Arabia, who currently drives its marketing communications function. Also, he is an advisory board member in the Energy Leadership Platform for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and council member at the PR & Communication Association in UK as well as a board member for the GCC Chapter in the International Association of Business Communicators of US. Prior to Sadara, he worked for EQUATE Petrochemical Company and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) in Kuwait.
